Separate work and private life by time, not by day of the week
When people work for a company, they usually work five days on weekdays and are day off on weekends.
Some people are able to change their mind between work and private life depending on the day of the week.
However, I’m not good at separating work and private life based on the day of the week.
(This is from when I was working at a company before starting my own business)
I think about work even on my days off.
Because both work and private life are ongoing events in my life, I am unable to switch between them deftly from day to day.
In other words, I think about both of them every day.
Even though I consider things related to work every day, that does not mean that my mind is always full of my work.
When I think about something, I usually stop to do for a few minutes or an hour at most.
(even if I don’t get conclusion)
I believe that the time spent thinking and the rate of problem solving are not necessarily proportional.
Some problems can be resolved in a short period of time, while others, such as “how to live,” will be with us for our lifetime.
Even if we don’t come to a conclusion today, the time to solve problems may come tomorrow, a month, a year, or 10 years later from now.
(We might not be able to come to a conclusion even in a lifetime.)
It’s more comfortable for me to spend time each day without dividing my time between work and private life by day of the week.
