When starting something new, keep a record of how many days you were able to continue.

Half a year has passed since the start of 2024.

The second half of the year will begin in July.

You may take this period as a turning point and start something new.

In such a case, I recommend that you keep a record of the number of days that you were able to continue.

It’s not particularly difficult, just keep a record of what you were able to do and what you couldn’t do each day.

What makes it effective is that when you look back on it later,

・You can see your results with your own eyes, which will give you confidence

・Even if you stop halfway, it will give you a certain goal when you start again

For example, let’s say you were able to continue doing something new, but now there are days in a row when you can’t continue.
(It could be a few days, a few months, or a few years, it could be anything.)

At that time, looking at your past achievements when you were able to continue can motivate you to try again and not get discouraged.

When you start again, your first goal should be to surpass your past self.

When starting something new, it’s not a bad thing to fail along the way.

It’s a necessary event in the process of completing it.

By pausing and restarting many times, you can make progress little by little.

It takes time, but I feel that steadily accumulating small successes is a shortcut rather than a big success, even though it may seem like a detour.
