It’s important to take time to look up at the sky and see ourselves from a bird’s-eye view
When we are obsessed with some specific things within ourselves, our consciousness and emotions can be drawn to them.
At times like these, we may feel like we are blocked on all sides and stuck in a dead end.
In those cases, I try to look up at the sky to get a bird’s-eye view of myself.
Our tangled thoughts and emotions are unrelated to the weather.
The way the sky looks can change depending on our own state, but no matter what state we are in, the sky essentially expresses itself and its appearance don’t change.
For example, when something were discovered, we would feel as if it has appeared for the first time in the werld.
However, looking at the sky, we can think that potentially it has always existed, and the situation has not changed at all before and after it surfaced.
Also, by looking up at the sky, we can get a bird’s-eye view of ourselves by imagining that we exist on a planet called Earth,
or that we are in a land surrounded by the sea in a country called Japan,
as if we were capturing ourselves from outer space with a satellite.
(And it makes us realize just how small our existence is. And I don’t mean that in a bad way.)
And if we extend the timeline from the past to the future, and think that this view of the sky has been shared by many people in the past and will continue to be shared in the future, then the view of the sky that unfolds before our eyes every day feels like an irreplaceable beauty.
Why not take a moment to stare up at the sky?
