Don’t think too much about efficiency when it comes to things you’re interested in.

In these days when efficiency is required, some people may feel constrained.

A certain level of efficiency is essential, but as everything moves toward greater efficiency, a certain question arise.

Is my own existence really efficient?

This is one of the dangerous aspect in approaching everything from the perspective of efficiency.

When it comes to things I’m interested in, I don’t really think about how efficient they are.

What comes first is the desire to do it.

I grow vegetables in my home garden as a hobby.

Home gardening as a means of obtaining vegetables is inefficient.

Buying vegetables at the supermarket is more efficient and cost-effective.

The reason I started a home garden in the first place was because I wanted to grow the food I would eat myself.

Once I started growing, I have experienced some failures, such as being eaten by insects, or it did not grow sufficiently etc.

These events increases the joy when the harvest is successful.

・What I am interested in

・Including experiencing such hardships and joys,

It’s a fun time for me because I’m spending my time and getting paid for it.
(Although it is inefficient)

I think it’s best to start doing something you’re interested in without thinking too much about efficiency.

There is no doubt that it is a fulfilling time that cannot be measured by efficiency.
