Continue to provide what we can do, what we have decided, and what is important to us
I went to a soba restaurant that I had been interested in for a while.
It is a small, cozy restaurant run by a married couple.
There are only two staff members.
Therefore, it takes time to prepare the food.
(This was posted in advance in the store and told when I entered the restaurant)
It is not for people who want to have a quick lunch.
(Some people left after finding that it would take time)
If they have a one-hour lunch break, this is not an option.
In order to have as many people as possible eat the food they provide,
- Hiring people
- Providing food in a larger space
- Increasing turnover
are considered some options.
However, there is a risk that they will attract people who do not suit the service they provide.
In that case, dissatisfaction will often lead to complaints.
(It is not for either party’s benefit)
Just provide calmly
- What they can do
- What they have decided
- What they value
It’s great if it makes someone happy, but if there’s no demand, then there’s nothing to be done about it.
We are required to think about how to respond no demanded situation, whether that be changing the way we do things or improving our skills.
How we live our life is something we shape for ourselves, work on and create in various ways.
It’s like creating a unique work of art, for which there is no right answer.
